Add Remember The Milk tasks with SlickRun
Goal: add a Remember The Milk task from the SlickRun program launcher (Windows only).
Similar solutions are described for Launchy, but I wanted a solution without additional dependencies: no batch files, no Twitter account, no command line programs to install.
Setup: add the MagicWord named rtm:
1. In SlickRun, type add rtm (where rtm is the name of the MagicWord you want to use to add a remember the milk taks, you can change the name if you want to)
2. Set Filename or URL field to http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/ext/addtask.rtm?t=$W$
3. Set Notes field to Task Name
Usage:
In slickrun, type: rtm get milk
Limitations:
- You need to be logged in to Remember The Milk to make this work.
- This method does not support the intelligent due dates, eg get milk tomorrow will not work as expected.
